This spring-fed pond is named after a Pit Bull mix who loved to swim. Allie swam like an Olympian. Whether she was galloping through shallow water, jumping in a pond or swimming out into deep water to retrieve a tennis ball, she was as natural a swimmer as a dolphin. Allie was rescued by the same organization that rescued Baron. Allie lived at the shelter for several years before passing away from mammary cancer. She taught me how much fun dogs can have in the water and the importance of always having water features at the sanctuary!
