Two super exciting things have happened so far this year at CCLS.
Lobo, our first rescue, was adopted to a wonderful home in February! He now lives in Dunkirk with his adoptive Mom, Dad and canine brother, Stormy! His Mom is home a lot during the day and Lobo is settling in and enjoying going for truck rides and wrestling with his new brother. As we build up on budget, we will take in another rescue soon.

Also in February 2025, we got a propane heating system installed in our barn. Although this was an expensive endeavor, all the dog rooms will have access to heat whenever needed. Before this heating system was installed, we were using two wall-mounted electric heaters to heat the first dog room, which in the long-run would have been a lot more expensive and would have to be installed in each room individually. With this new heating system in place, we can focus on getting the second dog room ready for a dog while simultaneously rescuing another dog that can utilize the first room.
